ArtLab is a series of meetings in a format of Beit Midrash for Russian-speaking artists, that have been taking place at Neve Schechter since 2023, in partnership with the KakdelArt platform.

Each cycle brings together creative professionals selected through an open call and invites them to explore Jewish thought through language and textual traditions as a set of conceptual frameworks and modes of thinking.

Over the course, participants attend lectures, conversations, and guided group tours that introduce them to diverse intellectual tools rooted in Jewish sources. The program’s core aim is to inspire artists and cultural practitioners to incorporate these ideas into their personal creative and professional practices.

ArtLab also provides grants for the development of new works sparked during the process. The ideas, research, and outcomes shaped within these courses are presented on the website, continuing to expand the dialogue between contemporary art and Jewish textual heritage.

KakdelArt is a platform for artists integration in Israel, that brings the connection to the community of olim Russian-speaking artists.
