First meeting: 4.10.2018
Maimonides’s The Guide for the Perplexed
The Guide for the Perplexed sparked a revolution in medieval Jewish thought that continues to resonate to this day. In the meetings we will read and examine central issues that arise in the book against the background of the philosophic and mystical thinking of its time.
“The river flows out of Eden”: The secrets of the Zohar
The meetings will address the Zohar, the classic book of Kabbalah literature and the basis for mystical thinking and experience throughout the generations, a sealed treasure of mythical ideas, thoughts, and images that formed the basis for the development of the mystical stream of Judaism.
Admission is free of charge.
